This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data. By using our website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Our tools are designed to work without requiring you to create an account. Calculator inputs stay in your browser unless you choose to include them in a contact message or share URL.
Information We Collect
Calculator Inputs
Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter - including age, weight, height, activity level, and dietary preferences - are processed locally and used only to display your results. This information is not transmitted to our servers or stored beyond your current browser session, except when you use the URL sharing feature, which encodes your inputs in the URL for your own use.
Contact Form Information
If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject, and message you submit so we can read and respond to your inquiry. The contact form is optional. Messages are sent to us through Resend and delivered to our email inbox. Do not send sensitive health, financial, or account information through the contact form.
Analytics Data
We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous usage data including page views, session duration, general geographic location at the country or region level, device type, and browser type. This data helps us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly by design: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint users, and does not track individuals across sessions or sites. No personally identifiable information is collected through our analytics.
The site can also run Google Analytics 4, but only when we configure a Google Analytics measurement ID. No measurement ID is configured at present, so Google Analytics does not load and sets no cookies. If we turn it on, it loads Google's gtag.js and uses cookies such as _ga to measure how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed, your approximate location, device and browser type, and the source that referred you. Where consent is required, Google Analytics would set these cookies only after you accept. See Your Consent Choices below for how that works.
We use Vercel Speed Insights to measure page performance and Web Vitals. It is cookieless and collects no personally identifiable information.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect payment information, physical address, health records, or account credentials. We do not require account creation or registration to use any calculator on this site. Contact details are collected only if you voluntarily submit the contact form or email us directly.

Cookies
Our website uses the following types of cookies and local storage:
Analytics cookies: When Google Analytics 4 is configured, it sets cookies such as _ga to distinguish visitors and measure how the site is used. Where consent is required, these are set only after you accept. It is not configured at present, so the site sets no analytics cookies today.
Functional storage: We store your unit preference (Imperial or metric) in your browser's localStorage. This value is not transmitted to any server and is used solely to remember your display preference between visits. When Google Analytics is configured and you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we also store your consent choice in localStorage under the key tmc-consent for about six months. That value is client-only, is never sent to a server, and clearing your site data resets it.
Vercel Analytics does not set any cookies. This site does not run advertising and sets no advertising cookies. You can block or clear analytics cookies through your browser settings, and the calculators work the same either way.

Data Retention
We do not store calculator inputs on our servers. Contact form messages are delivered through Resend to our email inbox and may be retained as ordinary business correspondence. Vercel Analytics retains aggregate, anonymized usage data in accordance with Vercel's data retention policy. When Google Analytics is configured, Google retains its data according to its own retention settings, and an EEA, UK, or Swiss consent choice is stored locally in your browser for about six months, not on our servers.
We enforce per-IP rate limits on form submissions and certain API endpoints, namely the contact form and the OG image endpoint, to protect the site against abuse. Before it is used, your IP address is hashed with SHA-256 plus a server-side salt. Only that short-lived hash is held in memory. The raw IP is never written to disk or logs, and no third party receives it.
Your Consent Choices
This section applies only when Google Analytics is configured. It is not configured at present, so no consent banner appears and there is no choice to make. When it is on, we use Google Consent Mode v2 to control when Google Analytics cookies are set. Consent Mode defines four signals: analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization. The site runs no ads, so the three ad signals have nothing to control, but they are still set alongside analytics storage. If you visit from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, all four default to denied and a banner asks you to choose. Nothing in those categories is set until you select Accept. Choose Reject and they stay denied.
Visitors outside those regions default to granted, and you can opt out at any time by blocking or clearing cookies in your browser settings. Your choice is stored locally for about six months. Clearing your site data removes it, and the banner asks again on your next visit.
EU and International Visitors
Our calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser and never sent to our servers. Vercel Analytics is cookieless, collects no personally identifiable information, and does not track users across sessions. Google Analytics is not configured at present. If it is turned on, it may set cookies as described above, and for EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors that happens only after you accept on the consent banner. Children's Privacy
Our website is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us athello@tdeemacrocalculator.com.
Your Rights
Since calculator inputs are not sent to our servers, most calculator-related data rights requests do not apply to data we hold. For contact form messages, you may ask us to review or delete correspondence associated with your email address. For data processed by Google services, requests should be directed to Google. When Google Analytics is configured, EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing site data, which makes the consent banner ask again.
